Dr Birbal Jha, a renowned self-help author, spoke extensively on Sushil Modi’s leadership and legacy, highlighting his rise from student leader to a significant figure in Bihar’s political and economic development.

Dr. Jha underlined Modi’s contribution to Bihar’s economic growth while serving as the state’s finance minister and his remarkable expertise in managing political and economic problems.

“Despite his background in science, Sushil Modi proved to be a remarkable economist, playing a vital role in shaping Bihar’s financial landscape,” according to Dr. Jha.

Dr Jha described Modi’s personal and political ideology, saying, “Sushil Modi came from a humble family that ran a small business of clothes.” His elevation to the position of key lawmaker reflected his exceptional political skills and commitment to public service. His leadership conveyed a powerful message to those who resorted to misrule and anarchy, particularly his political rival Lalu Yadav.”

Dr. Birbal Jha, who had a close association with Sushil Modi, fondly recalled their shared history. He recollected the days when and how they met at Musallahpur in Patna, where they worked together on social causes.

Dr. Jha also highlighted that it was Sushil Modi who had inaugurated the ambitious project “Spoken English Skills Training for Mahadalit Youth” in 2012, a program aimed at uplifting the poorest sections of society.
