DPS RNE creps off a Hath Yoga session as one of its innovative waysto promote Yoga among students

To remove lethargy and listlessness which had been the product of the pandemic lockdown, DPS RN Extension organised a workshop on ‘Hath Yoga’ in association with Sadhguru’s spiritual organisation – Isha Foundation on 28 June, 2022.  This was in continuation of efforts to involve both young and old in the practice of yoga by conducting a yoga session at the school grounds on World Yoga Day.

Hath Yoga refers to physical exercises and breathing control which when practiced regularly would increase mind power and strength on all levels. The session commenced with an introductory video about the Isha Foundation  followed by a demonstration of basic asanas & breathing exercises.

The session was conducted by Aditya Vashisht, a certified yoga instructor for the teaching and non-teaching faculty of the school. All the participants felt the vibrations that was divinely numinous around them.

Mrs Pallavi Upadhyaya, Principal, DPS RNE, in her welcome address said that Yoga is the spiritual union with the Divine Creator that heals our soul, mind, and body. It fills our inner plateau with  equanimity and reduces stress and anxiety, which are the  immutable problems faced by all  these days. She also said that the school will always encourage the students and the staff to  include Yoga in their daily routine.
