10th June, 2023: Students of DPS Indirapuram organised a ‘Nukkad Natak’ in their Special Assembly to commemorate World Environment Day, with the aim of sensitising students about the need to protect and preserve the environment. The assembly left a lasting impression on the students, emphasising the importance of taking collective responsibility for the well-being of our planet.
The assembly commenced on a vital note with a heart-touching song that captured the appeal of flora and fauna to human beings, urging them to show mercy and consideration towards the environment. The students then presented a comprehensive overview of the latest environmental initiatives and awareness projects worldwide to restore the fast-depleting resources. This presentation highlighted the urgent need for sustainable practices and emphasised each individual’s role in creating a greener future.
A thought-provoking Nukkad Natak performed by the senior students left the audience reflecting upon the consequences of their behaviour towards the environment. The play effectively conveyed the message that even small actions can significantly impact our surroundings, urging everyone to adopt a more conscious and responsible approach.
Ms. Priya John, Principal, DPS Indirapuram, said, “World Environment Day is a crucial occasion that reminds us of our responsibility to protect and preserve the environment. Our special assembly aimed to sensitise our students about the need for sustainable practices and the power of individual actions. It was heartening to witness the passion and commitment displayed by our students during the assembly. I believe they will carry forward this awareness and actively contribute to the conservation of our planet.”
