Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU), Israel is now inviting applications for the master’s program in Mechatronics Engineering for their fall semester 2023.
Mechatronics Engineering is a relatively new engineering field, designed to meet the growing need for integration of various engineering fields. It is a combination of electrical engineering, electronics, computer, and mechanical engineering. This integration is necessary in the design and manufacture of mechanical systems that integrate computers and electronic components, such as: robotic systems, missile control and steering systems, automatic production systems and more.
The master’s degree program in Mechatronics engineering offered by BGU is an interdisciplinary program that combines courses from various engineering departments- mechanical, electrical & computer engineering along with industrial and management engineering. The purpose of the program is to enable students to solve engineering problems between complex areas. It provides the tools necessary for the dynamic analysis of mechanical systems as a basis for the design and implementation of control systems, a systematic understanding of closed-loop control systems, and the design of control loops.
Program delivery
The M.Sc. degree requirements include the successful completion of 8 courses aimed at establishing the necessary advanced background in robotics, control, and estimation theories, as well as carrying out a research project culminating in a full M.Sc. thesis within 2 academic years (4 semesters).
