SignCatch, the pioneer in enabling B2B trade on the ONDC network, has onboarded renowned Food & Wellness brand Hamdard on ONDC (Open Network for Digital Commerce)
This collaboration will revolutionize the Food & Wellness supply chain and aims to facilitate a broader range of wholesalers, retailers and distributors across the country to access Hamdard Food’s wide range of products such as the iconic Rooh Afza, Fusion Drinks, Khaalis range of Spices, Edible Oils, Honey, Isabgol, Glucose-D etc for bulk purchasing over ONDC’s B2B Network.
While various brands and B2B sellers are being onboarded via SignCatch’s Bech.app platform, the purchase will be powered through OrderDe — SignCatch’s B2B Buyer App on ONDC.
By joining the network, Hamdard will get access to a larger customer base in the Indian market, marking a significant milestone in its growth journey. The collaboration will provide Hamdard an unprecedented demand and supply visibility and enable them to scale the business and organize their supply chains.
T Koshy, MD and CEO at ONDC said, “This is a milestone event for the network to have iconic brands like Hamdard take lead and embrace B2B commerce on ONDC. This tie-up between SignCatch and Hamdard will allow Hamdard’s diverse range of products like Rooh Afza and Khaalis Spices to be accessible across the country seamlessly.”
SignCatch, the retail-tech startup – is success-driven and is known for its relentless innovation. It is the first company to enable B2B commerce on the ONDC protocol, having launched both the B2B Buyer (OrderDe.com) and Seller (Bech.App) platforms earlier this month. With this new collaboration, SignCatch plans to continue innovating and rewriting the rules of digital commerce.
Through their retail tech SaaS platform, SignCatch has made it possible for zero-tech MSME brands and retailers to tap into the omnichannel tech capabilities and efficiency of organized retailing.
Speaking on this tie-up, the Founder & CEO of SignCatch, Sumit Duggal, said, “This is a very exciting juncture for India’s general trade supply chain, where historic brands like Hamdard are embracing cutting edge digital commerce solutions by leveraging SignCatch’s B2B Seller and Buyer platforms and we are thrilled to bring Hamdard products to the ONDC network.”
The CEO of Hamdard, Hamid Ahmed, also expressed his positive sentiments, stating, “We started as a proprietary concern in 1906. Rooh Afza was launched as a brand in 1907. We converted the business into a Trust in 1948. A substantial portion of our profits are ploughed back into Charity and Philanthropic activities, including a University, schools, skill development, giving scholarships to deserving students, blanket distribution, free food distribution etc. For future growth, apart from the Beverage categories (Rooh Afza, Glucose, Rooh Afza Lassi, Rooh Afza Milkshake, Nariyal Paani), we are bullish on our Spices brand (Khaalis) and the Edible Oil category (Olive Oil and Mustard Oil).
We are planning on our D2C strategy and the first step towards this is to come onboard ONDC.”
This collaboration marks an exciting development for the burgeoning Indian Food & Wellness market and highlights the competitive advantages of technology to bridge the gap between traditional retailers and suppliers.
