Bengaluru, 21th June 2023: Over 300 residents of Provident Sunworth City, a large-scale community located off Mysore Road, gathered on Sunday (18th June) morning to participate in a yoga session held by Provident Housing ahead of the International Day of Yoga, observed on June 21.
Leading the group were two well-known yoga instructors from the city, Sharmila R Udupa and Deepa, both residents of Provident Sunworth themselves. Sharmila is a yoga protocol instructor certified by the Ministry of Ayush and holds a YTTC certification from Yoga Alliance US. Deepa too completed the YTTC certification at the Aayana Academy in Bengaluru and underwent specialized training in aerial yoga at the prestigious Hare Rama Institute in Rishikesh.
On Sunday, over 300 participants reached the community lawns in the morning to experience the benefits of yoga and to connect with their inner selves. The event began at 7 am with a 90-minute yoga session and was followed by the planting of trees on campus. The event was held on Sunday to ensure maximum participation by all residents to revive interest among the large community to the benefits of yoga for a harmonious living.
