TSWY students tie rakhis to firefighters to show their respect towards them

The Shri Ram Wonder Years, Rohini celebrated the festival of Raksha Bandhan with students to make them realise the importance of having a protector in their lives. It was to expand their scope of understanding of the word ‘protector’. The comprehension of the word is not only limited to blood relations or siblings. Anybody who protects us from threats or flagitious designs is a protector.

The adorable girls of Pyare Kadam and Badhte Kadama tied rakhis to the firefighter crew at the fire station as a symbol of respect for their bravery and fearlessness. The firefighters could not hold back their tears and were moist-eyed, having witnessed such a lovely and honest gesture. The girl students also gave a remarkable ode to firefighters and saluted them for putting their lives on the line to save the lives of strangers and unknown people. They were branded as selfless servers of humanity.

Simultaneously, amidst the celebration of the Raksha Bandhan, the students also propagated the message – ‘STOP THE WAR PUTIN & ZELENSKYY’ and voiced their opinion using placards to end the war between Ukraine and Russia.

Shubhi soni, Head of shri ram wonder years  (TSWY ) said, “Raksha Bandhan is a pan Indian festival celebrated widely across the country. It is a remembrance of a sweet and affable bond between siblings and an unbreakable tie between brothers and sisters. Our children celebrated the Rakhi by tying Rakhis to firefighters to show their reverence for their self-sacrificial nature. The firefighters are the saviours of humanity and their efforts need to be appreciated.”
