India, 22nd June 2023: Codeyoung, a globally recognized online learning platform for children, announced the successful completion of the summer coding camp ‘De-coding Coding’, which was conducted in collaboration with the District Administration of Raipur. The concluding ceremony witnessed the presence of Mr. Jayant Nahata, IAS, Assistant Collector, Raipur, (C.G). He felicitated the top 5 students from each school for their exceptional performance in the program.
‘De-coding Coding’ was inaugurated in May by Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure, IAS Collector and District Magistrate of Raipur (C.G.) for the students of 3 schools (Utkrisht Vidhalayas) in Raipur. The initiative sought to empower school children with coding skills and provide them with greater accessibility to computing knowledge.
The course was free for all the students who underwent 12 offline classes, spanning nearly 20 hours overall. The sessions took place in the schools’ computer labs, which saw 50+ students attending three classes every week in each school. The students received hands-on training in website development and were taught programming languages such as HTML and CSS.
Mr. Shailendra Dhakad, CEO, Codeyoung, said, “We are delighted to have partnered with the District Administration of Raipur and express our gratitude to them for making this initiative possible. We believe that education is a privilege that everyone in the country deserves. As a company, we wish to continue our efforts towards empowering more and more students with the skills of tomorrow, like coding. As children, it is essential to find the motivation to keep learning new things, and as educators, we must enable them to do so with the right resources. Through this camp, we feel proud to have at least empowered a set of kids and interested them in learning the monetizable skills of tomorrow.
The entire camp saw a positive response from all the students and faculty alike. The program’s success has encouraged Codeyoung to extend the initiative to more nationwide schools for the subsequent academic year.
