Kolkata, September 2022: The Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) organised an Exclusive Interactive Session with H.E. Mr. Freddy Svane on 16th September 2022 on the scope for collaboration between Indian and Danish companies for developing green hydrogen. The esteemed guests present were H.E. Mr. Freddy Svane, Ambassador of Denmark to India, Mrs. Smita Bajoria, Honorary Consul of Denmark and Mr. Atanu Sen, Chairman, ICC National Expert Committee.

HE. Mr. Freddy Svane, Ambassador of Denmark to India observed that Denmark being a welfare-based society was facing issues with the rise in energy prices after the Russia –Ukraine fallout. He also prayed for an end to the Russia –Ukraine war, in view of its adverse geo-political and economic repercussions worldwide. He spoke on the scope for collaboration between Indian and Danish companies for developing green hydrogen. His Excellency pointed out that India and Denmark have had a long history of joint operations in business, citing technological collaborations for the Green revolution and White revolution, etc. He observed that to ensure successful implementation of policy, last mile connectivity is important for any country. He hailed India as the investment destination of the world. He also quoted, “A young working population, digitization and the ability to innovate are acting as India’s comparative advantages in a global world.”
