Speaking on the Strengthening Global Linkages, Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, Minister of State, Ministry of External Affairs and Education, Government of India, said, Evolving economic trends is what I visualise we should work on by involving different corporates and investors, as we should not depend on what we are comfortable with and understand consumer wants. We need to look for a proposed review of CECA with Singapore and connect with people all around the globe. We are also exploring and building connectivity going beyond physical connect, where international air connection remains one of the prime focuses. Our Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi announced a transformational vision like Atmanirbhar Bharat and building opportunities for start-ups and the export industry.”

Iterating on India-Myanmar Trade Relations, H.E. Mr. Aung Naing Oo, Hon’ble Minister of Commerce, Government of Myanmar, said, “India has been changing since 2014. Our country is getting digitized now. We can now see mobile phones in every village we visit, they have good connectivity. Today, wherever we go and show our passports, we are respected. Reforms are happening but how you perceive it is on you. India is witnessing a massive change, banking on understanding data related to consumer wants. Initiatives are in place to partner with start-ups. You all think about how to make things better but I say initiatives must be starting with you. Many changes are happening among us but in case you know how to come out of that adversity you can make changes. If you need to succeed in the Chinese then you need to make goods of that quality. Markets demand quality. If you believe in the quality you will triumph in the market. India has gained G20 Presidency, so we should set such benchmarks for the people.”

In an exclusive session, Chief guest and noted Indian actor, photographer, and voice artist, Boman Irani said, “I always uphold the fact that one must believe in something. I was named a wafer wala by the people, but there was always an urge of excelling at things where I give 100 percent of focus. My granny taught me that. Many say that hotel rooms without a presidential suite can’t make you happy, but in the same picture when I placed my family in a very low standard hotel with a pitch dark room they were happy. So, it is not always that money will make you happy. Don’t think about money, persevere and focus on what you actually wish to do. During the initial part of my film career, I had very less connections and always used to get upset about what would be my achievement from an experimental movie. But when you sense a good movie like Ratatouille, where a rat fought all the odds to fulfill his dreams,  your movie becomes a hit.”

Delivering an address on India @ 2047- Role of East & North East Region, General (Dr.) Vijay Kumar Singh (Retd.), Minister of State, Road Transport & Highways and Civil Aviation, “Myanmar and India have been in a very close relationship with each other with respect to trade and tourism. Diversifying the use of currency from nearby countries has become a new process to foster bilateral ties. Myanmar is growing rapidly and its post-covid economy has also improved. It wishes to engage with different countries and they have a comfort line with Russia. Connectivity will be considered in government-to-government relations. Both the Indian and Myanmar governments have started the initiative and also the financial minister is using the global currency to deliberate affairs.”

He added: “Myanmar is a hub of garments. Thirty percent is shipped to Europe and Eastern Asian countries. We can make use of ICC as a bridge and develop India to connect with different ports. Myanmar government policies are developing the linkage with India, which is our top priority too. Myanmar is a long-standing trade partner and it is doing everything to offer India economic stability through trade and tourism. We understand trade negotiations and ICC will be obliged to be a part to connect with a different initiative to build relationships with our neighbouring states”

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Pradeep Surekha, President Indian Chamber of Commerce said, “Globally competitive with the post-pandemic world, ICC will be taking the initiative to become the bridge between these two countries to build bilateral relations.”
